The (school) year is more than halfway finished…

…so if you would like me to come and speak to your class or kindy group about Max & George, please contact Speakers Ink.

The theme and messages in Max & George particularly lend themselves to kids who are about to start their journey from kindy or a daycare to ‘big’ school. I can tailor my visits to you! Get in touch with Speakers Ink to find out what I can do for you!

Max & George say ‘bonjour France’!

I received my second overseas offer today! Max & George will, eventually, be published in France! Clearly I will need to go there to do a book tour……!

In my dreams.

A copy of Max & George is on its way to HRH Prince George! … and other things …

Today I sent a signed copy of Max & George to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the royal family’s newest addition, HRH Prince George Alexander Louis. Wouldn’t it be super cool if they responded with a photo of the family reading the book?!

Also, it is August, which is the month when the short list for the Queensland Literary Awards is announced! It would be so wonderful if Max & George was even shortlisted (it would be like an award in itself!) – I am keeping my fingers and toes and everything else crossed. Will keep this post posted.

I have been busy…

I am currently developing a new idea I have for a series of books and so I have been busy planning that (amongst doing all the many random and varied things I do…). I look forward to talking more about my new idea in the future.

thirteenredshoes blog… ‘talking to somebody’ handwritten interview

Matching stripes with Max!

Matching stripes with Max!

I answered questions for an interview in my own handwriting – it was pretty cool and really made me think about my answers. It was for the thirteenredshoes blog and will appear in the 29 April 2013 version of the blog. I will post a link to it tomorrow, but for now, here is a photo of thirteenredshoes’ boy reading Max and George – I love that he is wearing a striped shirt, just like Max!
